On May 23, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a motorcycle being posted for sale on Facebook that resembled one that had been stolen. Deputies received additional information that the motorcycle was located off Kindley Farm Rd. Detectives with the Criminal Interdiction Team drove to the area and located the motorcycle. It was returned to the victim.
Following the investigation, charges were sought against James William Kindley for felony larceny of motor vehicle and felony possession of stolen motor vehicle. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a criminal summons for arrest.
On January 11, 2024, Kindley was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served an outstanding order for arrest and charged with misdemeanor resisting a public officer. Kindley was given a court date of January 12, 2024, at the Randolph County Courthouse and a secured bond of $5,000.
He was also served the criminal summons for the May 23rd incident. A court date was set for January 17, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
