On February 4, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Barkwood Rd., Randleman, in reference to reported child abuse. Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division responded to the residence.
Following an investigation, James Matthew Jenkins was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony child abuse/inflicting serious bodily injury. He was issued a $25,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for February 5, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
