On February 1, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office responded to Trinity Rd., Trinity, in reference to a breaking and entering of a storage unit and the theft of contents.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, charges were sought against Jorge Lucas Fritts and Trevor Robert Hamilton for felony breaking and/or entering, felony larceny after breaking /entering, and felony possession of stolen goods/property, and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant.
On February 9, 2024, Fritts and Hamilton were located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center.
Fritts was served his outstanding warrant. His release was not authorized due to other outstanding charges. A first appearance was set for February 12, 2024, in Randolph County District Court. He was also served his outstanding orders for arrest for failure to appear, as follows:
- Brunswick County – felony possession of methamphetamine for which he was issued a $10,000 secured bond and misdemeanor fail to return rental property and issued a $1,000 secured bond.
- Guilford County – misdemeanor resisting public officer $100 cash bond.
- Davidson County – misdemeanor second-degree trespass $1,000 secured bond.
- Rowan County – misdemeanor second-degree trespass $500 secured bond.
Hamilton was served his outstanding warrant. His release was also not authorized due to outstanding charges. A first appearance was set for February 12, 2024. He was also served an outstanding order for arrest for failure to appear in Rowan County for misdemeanor driving while license revoked -not impaired for which he was issued a $3,000 secured bond.
