While conducting a follow-up to an investigation in the Old Lexington Rd. area of Asheboro on February 16, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office observed Kiesha Lajuan Cagle attempting to conceal items and a search was conducted. Deputies located controlled substances and paraphernalia in her possession. Upon completing their investigation, she was advised that charges would be forthcoming.
Charges were sought against Cagle for felony possession of schedule II-controlled substance, misdemeanor simple possession of schedule IV-controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. The magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for arrest.
On February 17, 2024, Cagle was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where she was served the warrant and issued a $3,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for February 19, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
