On March 5, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on I-85 South. During the investigative stop, it was discovered that the car had been reported stolen out of Zebulon, NC. The driver, Leeaundra Renee Montgomery was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for a charge of possession of a stolen motor vehicle and issued a $1,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for March 6, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
Montgomery was also served with an order for arrest out of Guilford County for failure to appear and received a $50 secured bond and a court date of March 13, 2024, in Guilford County District Court.
