On March 7, 2024, during a license checkpoint in the area of Commonwealth Rd. and Walker Mill Rd., a subsequent search was conducted by Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Deputies.
During the search of the vehicle, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located and the driver, identified as Savannah Ellyn McLeod, was placed under arrest. She was transported to Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, felony maintain a dwelling/vehicle for controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued a written promise to appear in Randolph County District Court on April 1, 2024.
