On June 12, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Canter Road, Archdale, in reference to an Armed Person. Upon arrival, deputies were advised that Robert Warren Lynch was inside the residence and was armed with a knife. Communications advised that Lynch had an outstanding warrant for arrest out of Alamance County for felony larceny of a motor vehicle and felony larceny from a person. The vehicle that was reported stolen was located behind the residence and contained his driver's license and personal items. Deputies entered the residence and placed Lynch under arrest and transported him to the Randolph County Detention Center.
While further investigating Lynch, he was found to have two additional orders for arrest out of Alamance County for felony possession of methamphetamine, felony probation violation, misdemeanor possession of marijuana up to ½ oz., and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He had a pre-set total secured bond for $11,000.
He was served his warrant for arrest for the felony larceny of a motor vehicle, and felony larceny from a person, which the magistrate set no bond because Lynch was on pre-trial release.
The magistrate also found probable cause for felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. No bond was set because he was on pre-trial release. A first appearance was set for June 13, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
