On August 16, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Cresent Dr., Asheboro, in reference to an agency assist request with NC Probation and Parole. During a probation search of Makahla Danielle Slycord, illegal substances were found. She was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of heroin, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued a $5,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for August 19, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
