Information Release
On August 15, 2024, members of the Invictus Task Force and Randleman Police Department executed a search warrant related to a cyber tip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). As a result of the investigation, Gary Michael Shipwash Jr. was arrested on August 20, 2024, by the Task Force and charged with two (2) counts of 2nd-degree Sexual Exploitation of a minor. Shipwash was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate issued a $30,000 secured bond and set a first appearance for August 21, 2024, in Randolph County District Court. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Invictus Task Force representatives.
