On August 28, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop for minor violations on W. Swannanoa Ave. in Liberty. During the stop, a probable cause search was conducted and detectives located and seized methamphetamine, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. The driver of the vehicle, Eric Lamont Foxx, was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia and misdemeanor fictitious/altered title/registration card/tag. The magistrate issued a $10,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for August 29, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
