On September 19, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Crooked Stream Lane, Thomasville, in reference to domestic violence. Upon arrival, the victim advised that Christopher Timothy Ward was in the residence and he had been issued a no-contact order on this date.
Upon arrival, Ward was located in the residence and was arrested for an outstanding order for arrest for a Domestic Violence Protection Order Violation and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center.
While enroute to the Randolph County Detention Center, a call came out to the same address for a Burglary and another deputy responded. It was determined that the residence had been broken into by Ward causing damage to a window. During the investigation, it was determined that Ward had stolen personal information from a safe and other items from the residence. While on scene, the deputy found all the stolen items inside the U-Haul truck that Ward had been driving. The items were returned to the victim and the vehicle was removed from the property.
While at the detention center, charges were sought against Ward for felony breaking and/or entering, felony larceny after breaking and/or entering, felony safecracking, and misdemeanor injury to real property. The magistrate found probable cause on all charges and issued a no bond. A first appearance was set for September 20, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
He was also served the outstanding order for arrest for the Domestic Violence Protection Order Violation and received a $5,000 secured bond.
