On October 25, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office responded to Finch Farm Rd., Trinity, in reference to an unconscious person in a vehicle. Upon arrival, the driver awoke and was identified as Alex Wilson Lewis.
During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located and the fictitious NC registration plate was seized. Lewis was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued no bond and a first appearance was set for October 28, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
