On November 21, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Unit concluded an investigation related to the distribution of narcotics in Randolph County. Detectives, along with the Randolph County Emergency Response Team and the NCSBI, executed a search warrant at a residence located on Brooklyn Ave. Ext. in Ramseur. During the search, detectives located and seized a trafficking amount of heroin, marijuana, US Currency, a firearm, and items of drug paraphernalia.
As a result, Deangilo Antwan McRae was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony trafficking in heroin, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver Schedule VI controlled substance, felony maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver Schedule I controlled substance, misdemeanor possession marijuana paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia. He received no bond with a first appearance set for November 22, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
