The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registry Detective received information from the Invictus Task Force that registered sex offender Daniel Scott Miller had online identifiers that were not registered as required by law. After confirming they were not registered, charges were sought against Miller for five counts of felony failing to register new online identifiers with the Sheriff’s Office. The magistrate found probable cause for the charges and issued a warrant for arrest.
On January 15, 2025, Miller was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his warrant. The magistrate issued no bond and a first appearance was set for January 17, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
Miller was issued an additional charge for failing to comply with the terms and conditions of his pre-trial release and the magistrate issued a $50,000 secured bond for the violation.
