On February 16, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen vehicle that had already occurred.
After further investigation by the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit, Detectives located the vehicle which had been sold for scrap and crushed at a local recycling facility. It was determined that Harlee Dakota Jessup had been the last known person to be in possession of the vehicle.
On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Detectives went before the magistrate who found probable cause for the Felony Obtain Property by False Pretense against Jessup and a warrant was issued.
On February 23, 2025, Jessup was located and arrested. She was transported to Randolph County Detention Center where she was given a $2,000 secured bond and first appearance was set for February 24, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
