On April 4, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Hwy 311, Archdale. During a subsequent search, an illegal substance was located which belonged to the passenger, identified as Shera Dawn Emerson.
The driver was issued a warning ticket for improper equipment and Emerson was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of cocaine. She was issued no bond and set a court date for April 5, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
