On May 1, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest (EHA) Officers received information that Hugo Ruiz Mendez had violated the conditions of his Pre-Trial Release Supervision Program.
Due to the failure to meet residency requirements and the history of noncompliance with his pre-trial release conditions, he was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was taken in front of the magistrate and given a $30,000 secured bond with a court date of May 2, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
Mendez has been on Randolph County Electronic House Arrest since April 24, 2024, for incident liberties with a child and statutory sex offense with a child by an adult. The previous bond was set at $15,000.
