On May 9, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Parinna Dr., Trinity, at the request of NC Probation and Parole for an agency assist call for service.
Upon arrival, Officers advised they had located fentanyl and paraphernalia in the possession of Brittney Renee Amburgey, who also had an active Order for Arrest for failure to appear on a probation violation. Amburgey was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was given a $5,000 secured bond, and a first appearance was set for May 12, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
