On May 29, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Kindley Farm Rd. Ext., Asheboro, in search of a wanted individual with an active order for arrest for probation violations. James Anthony Duncan was located and initially resisted arrest. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. During the booking process, methamphetamine was located. The magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor resist/obstruct a public officer. He was also served with the order for arrest. He was issued a $3,000 secured bond, and a first appearance was set for May 30, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
