On June 20, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded Heathwood Dr., Trinity, in reference to a larceny/theft. Upon arrival, the victim reported that upon returning home, a vehicle was missing from the driveway as well as keys and cash from inside the residence.
A deputy located the vehicle a short time later at a residence on Pinebrook Dr., Archdale. Deputies searched the residence and subsequently found Jeffrey Ray Oxendine hiding in the crawl space under the house and placed him under arrest. Methamphetamine and paraphernalia were also located.
Oxendine was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony larceny of a motor vehicle, felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle, felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods, felony possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $20,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for June 23, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
