On May 27, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to NC Hwy 22 N., Franklinville, in reference to vehicle theft. Following the investigation, charges were sought against Joel Carlton Graham for felony obtaining property by false pretense, felony larceny of a motor vehicle, and felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
On August 1, 2025, Graham was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served his warrant. He was issued no bond. A first appearance was set for August 4, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
