On September 11, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Nassau Trail, Asheboro, in reference to a burglary that had already occurred.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit, a suspect was identified and charges were sought against Jeremy Dewayne Roberts for felony breaking and/or entering, felony larceny after break/enter, felony possession of stolen goods/property, and felony obtain property by false pretense. The magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for arrest.
On September 16, 2025, Roberts was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served with his warrant and issued an $80,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for September 17, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
