While investigating an unrelated incident on September 13, 2025, Hunter Blake Overby was found unconscious at the scene and in possession of an illegal substance. EMS responded to evaluate Overby. Charges were sought for felony possession of schedule II substance. The magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for arrest.
On September 19, 2025, Overby was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served the charges, and the magistrate issued no bond. A first appearance was set for September 22, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
