On September 21, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Clifton Dr., Archdale, in reference to a request for an agency assist by the NC Probation and Parole Office.
Upon arrival, Probation advised that while placing the offender, Carol Marie Smith, in custody, they located an illegal substance and paraphernalia in her possession. She was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a $1,000 secured bond, and his first appearance was set for September 22, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
