On October 26, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Unity St., Thomasville, in reference to a fight in progress. While en route, deputies were notified by Communications that the subject had fled from the scene and may be armed. Additional deputies responding located the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop; however, the suspect failed to yield and continued at a high rate of speed, and committed traffic violations before stopping in the 4100 block of Finch Farm Rd., where she exited and fled on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody and identified as Ashley Elizabeth Rose.
During a search of the vehicle, the reported firearm was located.
EMS responded for evaluation and transported Rose for further care. Following discharge, Rose was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun, misdemeanor resisting a public officer, driving left of center and failure to maintain lane control.
The magistrate issued her a $20,000 secured bond, and a first appearance was set for October 27, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
