On May 8, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible fraud.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Divsion, charges were sought against Albert Denard Decius, Jr., for felony obtain property by false pretense, felony money laundering, and felony identity theft. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
On October 3, 2025, Decius was located in Broward County, FL, arrested, and transported to their detention center, where he was awaiting extradition to Randolph County.
On November 6, 2025, Decius arrived at Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his warrant and issued a $100,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for November 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
