On November 26, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of Mendenhall Rd. and Surrett Dr. in Trinity, in reference to an unconscious driver, who was blocking traffic with the vehicle. Upon arrival, the male was identified as Wesley Jason Murray. An illegal substance was observed and recovered from the vehicle after he was removed from the vehicle for evaluation by EMS.
Following the evaluation, Murray was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. The magistrate issued a $3,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for December 1, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
