In April 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received information that Brad Allen Prevatt had been released from prison and listed his residence to be in Randolph County but learned that he had never lived at the address he had provided he had provided them. Charges were sought for fail to notify of a new address – sex offender and fail to register as a sex offender. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
On December 1, 2025, Prevatt turned himself in to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served his warrant and issued a $65,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for December 2, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
