On December 9, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Poole Town Rd., Asheboro, in reference to an assault that had occurred at another location. EMS responded to evaluate the victim due to the injuries.
Following the investigation, charges were sought against Casey Garland Jarrell for felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest. Jarrell was later arrested at his residence and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he received a $150,000 secured bond with electronic house arrest upon release. A first appearance was set for December 10, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
