In December 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding possible fraudulent transactions.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, charges were sought against Tommy Lee Marcum and the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony obtain property by false pretense, felony financial card fraud, and felony identity theft.
On December 20, 2025, Marcum was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his warrant. He received a $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for December 22, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
