On February 4, 2026, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Old Glenola Rd. in Archdale, in reference to a burglary that had already occurred. During the burglary, two vehicles were stolen: a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air and an 1988 Chevrolet truck. Also reported stolen from the residence were six firearms, along with other items.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit, both vehicles were recovered in Davidson County with the assistance of the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office T.R.A.C.E./Patrol division.
After further investigation, charges were sought against Travis Michael Wood and Tonya Marie York. Both individuals were charged with the following:
- Six counts of Felony Larceny of a Firearm
- Six counts of Felony Possession of a Stolen Firearm
- Two counts of Felony Breaking And/Or Entering
- Two counts of Felony Larceny of Motor Vehicle
- Two counts of Felony Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle
- Felony Larceny After Break/Enter
- Felony Possession of Firearm by Felon
- Misdemeanor Injury to Real Property
On February 5, 2026, Wood and York were apprehended during a traffic stop and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where they were served with their warrants for arrest. They both were given no bond due to the Pre-Trial Integrity Act, and a first appearance was set for February 6, 2026, in Randolph County District Court.
