
In February 2026, members of the Invictus Task Force, posing as an underage female, were engaged by person seeking sexual contact. As a result of that contact an investigation was initiated, which identified Jeremy James Prashaw, a registered sex offender, as the suspect.
Jeremy James Prashaw was subsequently arrested by the State Bureau of Investigation Computer Crimes Unit at the request of the Invictus Task force and charged with one (1) count of Felony Disseminate harmful Material to a Minor. Prashaw was transported to the Columbus County Detention Center where the magistrate issued no bond, and set a first appearance for February 26, 2026, in Columbus County District Court. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Alamance County Invictus Task Force representative.
