On May 30, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Wicker Lovell Rd., Randleman, regarding communicating threats. Upon arrival and investigations, it was determined that John Lawrence Fister, a convicted felon, had been in possession of a firearm during the incident. Fister was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charge of felony possession of a firearm by a felon. He was issued a $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for May 31, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
