On June 12, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Circle Dr., Archdale, in reference to an alert issued by an area agency, that was searching for the vehicle and suspects involved in a larceny in their jurisdiction for which warrants had been issued. Occupants of the vehicle were verified as Christy Michelle Decker and Nicklaus Warren Nelson and were placed under arrest. During a search incident to arrest, heroin, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia were located in possession of Decker. A search of the vehicle was then conducted, where items linking the suspects to the Larceny were located.
Both were transported to the Randolph County Detention Center.
Decker was served her outstanding warrants (felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods/property, felony conspiracy, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia). She was issued a $15,000 total secured bond and a first appearance was set for June 13, 2023, in Randolph County District Court. The magistrate found probable cause for additional charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and was issued a written promise to appear.
Nelson was served his outstanding warrants (two counts felony larceny, two counts felony possession of stolen goods/property, and two counts felony conspiracy) and the magistrate issued a $25,000 total secured bond. A first appearance was set for June 13, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
