On August 28, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hillsville Rd., Trinity, in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, the victim reported walking outside to leave for work, and observing a male subject who had the victim’s vehicle door open and looking inside. The suspect ran when the victim confronted him. The victim gave a description of the subject and what he was wearing. A K9 team responded and ran a track to Skyview Ct., to the address for Terry Dwayne Walker, however, Walker was not located at the time. Deputies presented a photo of Walker to the victim and confirmed him as the suspect.
While deputies were attempting to locate Walker, communications advised that they received another call stating the male was seen walking down Skyview Ct. again. Deputies located Walker wearing the clothing as described by the victim. Walker was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, misdemeanor second-degree trespassing, and misdemeanor violation of a Court Order as the court had already ordered to stay off the property on Hillsville Rd. Walker was issued a $5,000 secured bond and is set to appear in Randolph County District Court on August 29, 2023.
